We understand that there are always circumstances that arise in which your schedule may change. For a temporary or permanent change, it is best to check with our supervisor or director. They will be able to see if we have openings that accommodate your schedule.

When a Professional Day does occur, and you require a full day of care for your child, we require an additional full-day fee. There will usually be a communication and sign up for parents to notify the centre that your child will require care for the day.

Though your child may not nap, they will be required to rest quietly (not sleep) on their mat for a shorter time. We feel like every child needs this time to restore their bodies for the upcoming afternoon!

After perusing our website, we encourage you to click on the Registration tab, or contact us (604-929-5520) to schedule a visit of our centre. From that point, we can check to see if we have the space to accommodate your family, and will provide you with our Family Handbook. This book includes more information on our centre, as well as the registration papers.

To confirm registration we require the following:

• Completed Registration Forms
• $100 Deposit (taken off of your first month’s fees)
• Completed Permission Forms
• Earthquake Kit
• Emergency Consent
• Immunization Form
• Allergy Form
• Current Picture of your child

The facility is closed:

• All statutory holidays, including Good Friday and Easter Monday.
• Christmas Break from December 24 until after the New Year (same as school opening).
• Weekends

Yes. We require a deposit with your child’s registration. If you wish to withdraw your child, you must provide us with a one month’s notice.

Yes, we will accept children on subsidy. If your subsidy payment has not gone through, you are required to cover these fees until the subsidy payment has been processed. It will be the parent’s responsibility to follow up with subsidy.

Yes, we will not be able to reserve a spot for your child without receiving payment. If you are unable to pay, you must re-register upon your return if there are open spots available.

Children are not encouraged to bring toys form home to play with. However, we do allow them to bring a special toy which helps them sleep. We keep it in the child’s cubby until nap time.

We will do our best to encourage your child to use the washroom on their own, and help you out with potty-training.

If your child has any of the following symptoms please, keep them at home:

• Fever(37.5C/99.5F).
• Nausea or vomiting.
• Rashes on the skin.
• Discharge from eyes.
• Diarrhea or loose stool.
• And any contagious virus.

Staff can give medication to child only prescribed medication by the doctor, and parent has to fill out authorized medication form. Medication should not be left in lunch boxes or cubbies. Medication should not be mixed in food, bottles or drinks.

Clothing should be the type that can be easily managed. Weather permitting; the children will go out to the playground daily. Please dress them appropriately (i.e. boots, gloves, hats, scarves, etc.). Also, please mark all clothing with the child’s first and last name. It’s important the child wears clothing that launders easily due to these activities.

The children will be encouraged to discuss their feelings of anger with the teacher and/or peers. Absolutely no physical form of punishment is allowed. Positive role modeling and encouragement of appropriate behavior is used. Also, you can see our discipline policies in our parents agreement form.

Yes. There is a late fee for pick-up after 6:00pm when our center closes. We charge $5.00 per 5 minutes.

In the case of emergency, we will call you immediately asking you to come to the centre as soon as possible. If you don’t answer, we will phone your emergency contact person.
